Juvenile case file records, including documents and information maintained by the Department of Child, Family and Adult Services and the Probation Department, are confidential and may not be obtained or inspected by civil or criminal subpoena. All persons and agencies seeking access to juvenile records in the court’s possession must follow the rules and procedures set forth in Standing Order SSC-JV-99-021.

Persons authorized to view or obtain copies of documents pursuant to Standing Order SSC-JV-99-021 and applicable statute may do so at the Juvenile Dependency Records Window located on the third floor of the William R. Ridgeway Family Relations Courthouse. Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding court holidays).

To obtain juvenile records in the possession of an agency, contact that agency directly for information on its disclosure policies and procedures.
