Court Visits and Judicial Community Outreach

The judicial branch plays a crucial role in administering justice in our society, and the Sacramento Superior Court welcomes the opportunity to speak at events or schools about the court's role in the community and related topics. Community Engagement & Fairness Committee

Established in 2021, the purpose of the Community Engagement & Fairness Committee is to eliminate inequities, disparities, and biases in our court system.  The Committee is currently co-chaired by Judge Carlton Davis and Judge Lauri Damrell. California Judicial Mentor Program

The California Judicial Mentor Program is a collaboration between Sacramento Superior Court, Yolo Superior Court, El Dorado Superior Court and the Office of Governor Gavin Newsom. The purpose of this program is to assist in the recruitment and development of a qualified, inclusive and diverse judicial applicant pool for the Superior Court of California. The program is designed to identify, encourage and provide mentors for all individuals considering a judicial career. This program connects mentor judges with attorneys to increase the applicant pool for new judges.
