Parties and Attorneys may ask for remote appearance

• As soon as possible before the court proceeding, you should file and serve the form Notice of Remote Appearance: Notice of Remote Appearance (RA-010)
• As soon as possible before the court proceeding, if you oppose a party or attorney appearing remotely at trial or witness at trial, or contempt, default judgment, domestic violence or elder abuse restraining order, or termination of parental rights proceedings, file and serve Opposition to Remote Proceeding at Evidentiary Hearing or Trial (RA-015)
• The Court will make an Order Regarding Remote Appearance (RA-020) on the opposition to remote appearance. If no order on the opposition is received in advance, the order will be stated at the trial.

Step 1: Downloading the Zoom Application

• Download the Zoom Application to your computer and/or smartphone. Allow at least 15-20 minutes to download and test the program before your court hearing.
• To download the appropriate Zoom Application, go to www.zoomgov.com.

Step 2A: Zoom Court Appearance Sign-in

• Select the Zoom link for the department.
• Type your first and last name as it appears in your court case.
• Read the instructions in the Zoom waiting room.

Step 2B: Telephone Appearance Alternative

• Call the Toll-Free Telephone number and dial the Meeting ID number for the department.
