Sacramento Superior Court to Launch New Criminal Case Management System

Effective Monday, August 10, 2026

Post Date:07/30/2026 2:26 PM

The Sacramento Superior Court will launch a new criminal case management system on August 10, 2026. Beyond internal improvements, the new system will modernize how the public, litigants, attorneys, and justice partners interact with the court's criminal case records and processes.

New Public Portal

Starting August 10, 2026, a new public portal will let users:

  • View limited case information for criminal cases.
  • View court calendars for scheduled criminal proceedings.
  • Submit electronic filings (e-filing) in criminal matters.
  • Complete electronic check-in for trials, preliminary hearings, and felony mental health diversion application hearings.

For details on related process changes, such as attorney case access, visit the Sacramento Superior Court website.

What This Means for You

The current case management system will be disabled at 12 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, and will remain unavailable until the new portal launches at 8 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026.

Check-in during the transition:

  • Electronic check-in via the portal will be available for qualifying hearing types once the system launches.
  • Continue following your hearing type's normal check-in timeline, except for check-ins that would otherwise fall between August 7 at 12:00 p.m. and August 10 at 8:00 a.m. Check-in is unavailable during this window.
  • If your check-in would normally fall in that window, complete it instead during one of these times:
    • Friday, August 7, 2026, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., or
    • Monday, August 10, 2026, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
