To recognize Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Sacramento Superior Court Judge Brenda R. Dabney shared the following statement:

On this important day, we reflect on Dr. King’s enduring vision of a “beloved community” rooted in justice and equality. For those of us in the judicial system, this day serves as a solemn reminder that the law is not merely a set of rules, but is a vehicle for ensuring the dignity of every individual. 

Judge Brenda R. Dabney was appointed to the Sacramento Superior Court in October 2024.
